ABL secures role on Kamose Phase 4 offshore gas expansion in Egypt

Power and marine consultancy ABL has been appointed to supply marine guarantee survey (MWS) providers for the Section 4 improvement of the Kamose offshore fuel area in Egypt’s Mediterranean waters. 


The work will assist offshore building actions for the North Sinai Petroleum Firm (NOSPCO), operator of the Offshore North Sinai concession. The Section 4 growth contains set up of three new offshore manufacturing platform monopods—Hoor-1&2, KSE-1 and Snefru-1—together with drilling of three wells and building of an 11-km flowline to attach new manufacturing to present infrastructure.

The brand new services can be tied into the sphere’s present offshore pipeline community and built-in with the cellular offshore manufacturing unit (MOPU) already working on the Kamose area on the jap flank of the Nile Delta.

ABL’s scope contains technical overview and approval of undertaking documentation, procedures and engineering calculations, in addition to marine assurance and threat providers for set up actions. The corporate may even assist dynamic positioning (DP) trials, present consulting providers and conduct on-site attendance to witness transportation and set up operations for the brand new offshore infrastructure.

The Kamose growth types a part of ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance offshore fuel manufacturing in Egypt’s Mediterranean sector via phased improvement and infrastructure upgrades. ABL has maintained an operational presence in Egypt since 2018, supporting offshore power and marine initiatives throughout the area.
