These Indian philanthropists have donated over ₹100 crore in FY25: Shiv Nadar, Mukesh Ambani, Bajaj family—See full list

As many as 191 philanthropists, together with 12 new entrants, cumulatively donated ₹10,380 crore — an 85% enhance in comparison with three years in the past — as per the EdelGive-Hurun India Philanthropy Record for 2025, a rating of philanthropic people in Indiareleased on 6 November. Amongst these, Shiv Nadar (80) and household retained the ‘India’s Most Beneficiant’ title for the fourth time in 5 years, with an annual donation of ₹2,708 crore or ₹7.4 crore per day.

The twelfth annual report measured donations based mostly on the worth of their money or money equivalents between 1 April 2024 and 31 March 2025. All people have donated ₹5 crore or extra in the course of the evaluate interval.

Philanthropists who donated greater than ₹100 crore

Taking the seventh spot was the Hinduja household, who by means of the Hinduja Basis donated ₹298 crore; adopted by Rohini Nilekani, who was the very best lady donor with ₹204 crore given by means of Nilekani Philanthropies.

Sudhir Mehta and Samir Mehta contributed ₹189 crore by means of the UNM Basis, with Cyrus S. Poonawalla and Adar Poonawalla donating ₹173 crore through the Villoo Poonawalla Basis, rounding off the highest 10.

Different donors on the record who gave greater than ₹100 crore embrace: Anil Agarwal and household ( ₹172 crore / Anil Agarwal Basis); Ranjan Pai and household ( ₹160 crore / Manipal Basis); Azim Premji and household ( ₹147 crore / Azim Premji Basis); Nithin and Nikhil Kamath — youngest on the record ( ₹147 crore / Rainmatter Basis); S Gopalakrishnan & household ( ₹144 crore / Pratiksha Belief); Harish Shah and Bina Shah ( ₹137 crore / Harish & Bina Shah Basis); Nandlal Rungta and household ( ₹119 crore / Rungta Sons); and Kochouseph Chittilappilly and Sheela Kochouseph ( ₹107 crore / Okay Chittilappilly Basis).
